There’s nothing worse than having to take your shoes off and exposing rough cracked heels, corns, bunions and blisters. Our feet carry us many miles on a daily basis and they deserve special treatment after a long day and some of us have more time now during lockdown to pamper ourselves! So try this recipe at home for some feet love.
Cooling foot balm
- 1/2 cup unrefined shea butter
- 4 tbsp pure almond oil
- 1/2 cup organic virgin coconut oil
- ~30 drops peppermint essential oil
Gently heat the shea butter and coconut oil (in a double boiler) and leave to cool slightly. Add the almond oil and mix well. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature and then add the peppermint essential oil and mix well. Put in the freezer for 15-20 minutes until the mixture starts to harden and then using a mixer or blender, whip/mix until creamy. Store in a cool dry place and use within 6-12 months.
